FAQ

  • I edit anything within the romance genre: contemporary, dark, comedy, historical, paranormal, erotica, etc.

I also edit fantasy, mostly romantasy, but also high fantasy and urban fantasy.

I don't have a lot of triggers, and I love spice!

  • Typically, I ask for a non-refundable deposit of 20% that goes toward the payment of the editing service. It's needed to book a slot in my schedule. The next 30% will be due when I receive the manuscript and before I start editing. And the last 50% will be due when the editing is complete.

But I'm always open to negotiating and offering a payment plan that works for you.

Payment can be done through PayPal or Interac e-transfers (for Canadians).

  • Always! This is to protect both you and me. My contract includes the type of service provided, dates and deadlines, payment information, a cancellation policy, etc. After completing a sample edit for you, if we decide to work together, I will draw a contract, sign it myself, and send it to you to sign.

  • However you prefer! It can be done through DMs on Instagram, emails, text messages, video calls, etc.

  • I use both! I prefer working on Word, but I understand not everyone has a subscription.

  • As soon as you can! Many editors have their schedule filled months in advance. Take into account how long the editing process will take and when you want to publish. You don't want to have to settle for an editor you don't like because you're at the last minute. Go around and request sample edits ahead of time. Find the best editor for you and book your spot when you do.

  • Yes. It needs to be your final draft and have gone through self-editing, beta reading, and developmental editing (if needed) before I can start copy editing or proofreading your story.
